Vintage Design
This oak daybed was designed in the style of Charlotte Perriand, Jean Prouve, and Pierre Jeanneret’s pieces for Chandigarh, India. The piece has a solid wooden frame with beautiful joints all around; no screws are used at all. The seat and sides are laced with rope; the knots seen are not repairs- they exist to attach the excess of the threads – instead of cutting the rope that was too long away, they were knotted in place.
The piece is newly stuffed and upholstered with the finest quality fabric – one can choose to leave the arm cushions either on, or off to be able to see the beautifully shaped sides with the rope structure. This eye-catching centre piece for any interior can also be used as bed end bench in the (master) bedroom.
