Known as “Quanyi” or “Horseshoe Chairs”, They are also known as “Ming “Dynasty” chairs. This modern version has a very distinct continuous curved crest rail which also functions as the arm rest. The seat deck is solid wood.
The unattached seat cushion is done in a gorgeous modern geometric pattern in greys, silver and black.
In total honesty, we are not 100% sure that these chairs were made in the 70s. The original estate was done in rhe 1980s, but these chairs were certainly made before them. They have a more modern arm than the original Ming Dynasty chairs. The chinoiserie look of these chairs was purposely added to mix with the very modern other furniture in the Estate designed by Sally Sirkin Lewis.
The chairs as well as the entire estate are very high end and look it! Chic. Modern. Eclectic. Glam.
