A fine French 19th-20th century Louis XV style gilt-bronze mounted tulipwood chinoiserie marquetry two-drawer bombé commode with a veined rouge royal marble top. The serpentine shaped body centered with a marquetry medallion depicting a seated Chinese fish-seller attending to a standing lady among trees, branches with leaves and a pagoda in the background, all flanked by marquetry floral designs and four gilt-bronze scrolled handles. The sides with floral wreaths and the corners with surmounted with acanthus designed gilt-bronze mounts ending with foot sabots, circa 1900.
