A delicate chinoiserie burnt bamboo or tortoise bamboo armchair. Fashioned from bamboo, the back features geometric shapes and lines. the arms are geometric as well, each with four pencil reed decorative bamboo pieces. On the front, the skirt is decorated in a complementary geometric pattern to the back. Some missing pieces or breakage in this area. Two stretchers, one on each side, keep the chair sturdy. The seat may have had a cushion at one point. The seat is created from small delicate pieces of rattan. At the center, is a painted and faded hexagonal black shape.
