Vintage Design
Very unique daybed for the ”Young Girls Boarding School” in Nancy, France, probably designed and manufactured by Charlotte Perriand and Jean Prouvé. Jean Prouvé, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand worked together for a lot of large interior projects in the Nancy region of France and Jean Prouvé’s workshop was just outside of the city. On the last photo you see the interior of the boarding school rooms in the 1950s, the bed is there to be seen, and also note the wall cabinets, they look exactly like a Charlotte Perriand or Jean Prouvé design. The original mattress comes with it, which is ideal to use as template for a newly upholstered mattress, all bespoke and on request to your wish: with or without roll-cushion, you choose the color, fabric, tufted or no etc. and we make it. Or you do it yourself according to the mattress, which will be included in the shipment. There are 2 identical beds available.
