Vintage Design
These hand-made Austrian bistro chairs come from the Wiener Werkstätte, the manufacturer Thonet, and were made from steamed bentwood between 1915 and 1920. Thonet is considered the oldest furniture manufacturer in the world.
The double-curved backrest is striking, giving the chair an organic and aesthetic shape.
The seat was supplemented in the 1960s with a patrol-colored seat cushion, which was attached with rivets. This increased the seating comfort.

This model NUMBER 476 should be of interest to collectors simply because it is almost impossible to get hold of anymore.
The label used at the time (a paper protection stamp) is attached to both chairs.
The condition can be described as good despite the visible dents in the wood. It is still stable and the seat cushion is also undamaged and comfortable.
