This antique set of lacquered nesting tables was made by Wong Kwoko Hing from Canton China in circa 1910 in the period chinoiserie style. These graduated nesting tables are constructed of a very light softwood which have hand painted gilt tops over a black background with a thick lacquer finish. The sides also have gilt leaf accents and the feet are carved Imperial gilt dragon heads with red accents. The largest table of the set is signed underneath as “Wong Kwoko Hing’s Lacquer-Ware” and “Made in Canton China”.
