Vintage Design
This Iron Garden Chair was designed by the Belgian architect and furniture designer Gustave Serrurier Bovy for Serrurier et Cie in 1903. This chair is the only ‘garden furniture’ or ‘metal furniture’ mentioned in early advertisements found to date. The chair is assembled with rivets. This chair has the typical sober elegance of the Art Nouveau style of Serrurier Bovy. This chair is in good overall condition, it is authentic with some small restorations.
