Antique early 20th Century Chinese solid silver cigar box. The lid is adorned with an intricately detailed dragon in high-relief, while another dragon swims through the ocean waves that encircle the box’s sides. The hand hammered surface enhances the dynamic flow of the water and the dragons’ flowing whiskers. The interior, including the base, is fully lined with wood, preserving the contents of the cigar box.
The base is hallmarked with a Chinese silversmith mark (acid tested shows 900+ standard), Maker’s mark for B.H for Bao Xing (alternative of Bao Hing).
