A stunning early 20th Century Chinese Export solid silver hip flask with silver hinged top and removable cup. This flask has an outer design featuring a Chinese dragon. Dragons in Chinese culture symbolise great power, good luck and strength. They represent power and authority, particularly control over typhoons, water, rainfall and floods. Emperors were assumed to have descended from the dragons. Unmarked, Probably Canton, c1920.
