19th century, French clock In the Chinoiserie style. An 8 day pendulum movement that bell strikes on the hour and half hour. Chinese porcelain body in the Kang His style by Samson. The Samson factory was an exemplary porcelain manufacturer of Asian designs. Many done so well as they are thought to be Chinese / Japanese. Good polychrome decoration with pierced openings on the base mounted with bronze elephant form feet, climbing dragon handles, with a sage upon a horse, circa 1880.
