Fantastic set of three framed chinoiserie decorated landscape panels painted by Robert Crowder (1911-2010 American). The paintings feature a flora and fauna garden centered by white egrets in a pond with lotus blossom. The scene is painted over a radiant metallic silver leaf square background with a dramatic silver cloud border. The panels are set in faux-marble lacquered frames with an Asian motif. Signed by Crowder on the right in his Japanese character name Shoji Kuroda and his American name Robert Crowder. Painted in the Nihonga school style. Vibrant colors of natural mineral pigments and ink. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA.
