This antique handcrafted sterling silver tea set was made in China in circa 1880 in the period Chinese export style. The set is composed of a teapot, creamer and lidded sugar bowl and a set of thongs. Each piece of the set has a very detailed chased Imperial styled dragon wrapping around it with accenting handles, and finials done with a bamboo stalk motif. Each of the three major pieces is clearly signed as ‘Silver’ on the bottom with the maker’s hallmark. The set may have been made by Luan Hing, but the maker’s hallmarks are quite illegible, so it is posted as ‘in the style’.
