Antique circa 1900 Chinese Export Burr Elm & Brass Engraved Sideboard Butterfly

A very good looking and well made decorative antique piece, the timber patina is sublime, the hinges are all hand hammered and engraved butterfly’s which look exquisite. The piece has been fitted with a later glass top to protect the surface which is great because it has done its job well

In terms of the condition, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal age and use related marks here and there, mostly its in very fine order throughout

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
