Dramatic bespoke set of six dining chairs designed by Rose Tarlow Melrose House Los Angeles, California. The Puccini dining chairs feature a hand-carved birch frame with an exaggerated scroll back. The generous seat is supported by shaped cabriole legs in the front. The wood is lacquered and embellished with 22 carat gold leaf around the apron and legs. The chairs are upholstered with an Asian chinoiserie motif fabric decorated with figures, fruit, and animals. The lacquered finish has an intentionally aged, distressed finish with noticeable wear to mimic age and patina as seen in photos. Very solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship from an estate in Beverly Hills. Price is for the set of six.
