Vintage Design
This satinwood Sheraton revival inlaid display cabinet circa 1890, possibly made by Edwards & Roberts, is profusely inlaid all over with floral marquetry. The inlaid broken arch pediment sits in a moulded edge frieze, with a serpentine shaped single glazed door below opening to reveal two fixed shaped shelves inside. The inverted sides are glazed and the serpentine shaped base has a two door cupboard. The front of the doors as well as the side panels profusely inlaid with various foliage, rams heads and urns. The cabinet is supported on square tapering splayed legs unified with a shaped shelf.
